Alphabet Walk

Well, it's Earth Day and Spring has arrived in Manitoba. Yes, some days that might mean snow or rain, but the seasons are definitely changing. Getting outside to enjoy the changing seasons is great for the whole family.

How about going for an alphabet walk? Go for a walk and see how many letters of the alphabet you can find. You can look for letters on signs, in nature, on sidewalks, etc. Your memory will capture the images. You can take photos of the letters you find too. When you get home you can use these photos to create a book about your alphabet walk.

How about drawing pictures of what you saw on your alphabet walk and creating a book out of them. This is a fun way to get some physical activity and build some family memories. The books will be a memory of this time you spent together finding alphabet letters in your neighborhood.

Next time, how about a number walk?
