COVID-19 Guidelines

The arrival of the Omicron variant in Manitoba has created a lot of changes in Campus Children's Centre's operating procedures. This page will be updated with the most recent Guidelines, as per Manitoba Public Health and Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care.

If your Child tests Positive for COVID-19

The child must isolate for 10 days from onset of symptoms or the test date, whichever is later. They must have no symptoms to return.

Please continue to inform CCC if your child tests positive for COVID-19.

2

If Someone in your household tests Positive for COVID-19

If they are vaccinated, they must isolate for Five (5) days. Any child in the home would be considered a Close Household Contact and must isolate for Ten (10) days, regardless of whether they have symptoms or test positive.

3

If a Staff Member tests Positive for COVID-19

The CCC staff are proud to be 100% vaccinated. If a staff member tests positive, we must isolate for Five (5) days from the date of the test. After five days, staff members will return to work ONLY if they have no more symptoms present.

4

If your Child or a Household Member is sick with COVID-19 Symptoms

You must isolate and your child cannot attend CCC.

Your child may return after either a) The affected individual has no symptoms and ten (10) days have passed

b) The affected individual has no symptoms and either a negative PCR test or two negative Rapid Tests, 24 hours apart. Please note that Public Health recommends PCR tests only for children 5 and under.

Exposures at Campus Children's Centre

When there is a COVID-19 exposure at CCC, all families in the affected room will be notified on the same working day we know. As per Public Health Guidelines, children in the same room will still be allowed to attend, provided they have no COVID-19 symptoms.

IF Your Child is a Close Contact to a confirmed case of COVID-19 outside of childcare they are still required to isolate and cannot attend CCC for Ten(10) Days.

Drop Off / Pick Up

With community transmission of COVID-19 still very high, CCC requires all families to follow these rules and guidelines at Drop Off and Pick Up time:

- Avoid congregating in our halls. If there are already two families in the hall by your child's room, wait until one has cleared before proceeding.

- If you observe other families waiting, do not linger.

- Send only one parent inside with your child.

- All adults MUST be wearing a mask inside the centre

- Only adults who are fully vaccinated should be entering the centre for drop off or pick up

Campus Children's Centre COVID-19 Protocols were created using the Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care COVID-19 Guidelines.
