Archaeological Dig
This is a fun, fine motor activity that kids will enjoy and keep them entertained for awhile. You most likely have all the materials needed in your house. Materials needed: A few small dinosaurs *any small plastic toys will do* Containers that the dinosaurs will fit in Put the dinosaurs in the containers and fill with water and place the containers in the freezer.
When the containers are frozen pop the ice blocks out and let the kids dig out the dinosaurs. Spoons, forks, chopsticks are great tools to help the children dig out their frozen dinosaurs!
When the weather starts getting warmer (hopefully by the end of the week), you can recreate the activity outside by burying the toys in sand, dirt or mud.
