LEGO Measuring Stick

Lego has many uses and sparks creativity in each child who uses it. Children will be able to compare and contrast items by using the measuring sticks they have made with Lego or any interlocking building blocks. This activity with give the child practicing in counting in a fun way.

Gather your Lego or interlocking building blocks and stack them on top of each other. You can make measuring sticks of different lengths to measure items which maybe small or items that are large.

Here are some fun ideas of items you can measure:

-the child’s height

-another person’s height

- arms, legs, fingers, etc.

-your bed

-favorite blanket

-stuffed animal height

This is a fun activity that any child can be actively involved in regardless of their age.
