Lasagna

Hi everyone this is a tried and true lasagna recipe that the family would love! The kids can help you make this delicious creation!

Ingredients Lasagna noodles (Approximately 12) 1 (3oz.) package cream cheese 4-6 oz. Gruyere cheese, sliced Thinly 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Bolognese sauce( included in this recipe)

Instructions: Cook the lasagna in boiling salted water for about 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain. And if using long pieces put these over the top of a sauce pan to dry out. Cut into convenient lengths. Make the Bolognese sauce. Put a layer of lasagna into a buttered dish, then a layer of sauce, a little cream cheese, Gruyere cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Fill the dish like this, ending with the Parmesan cheese. Bake in a preheated oven 400°F. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.

Bolognese sauce: 2-3 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 1 clove garlic (optional) 1 onion, finely chopped 1 Cup mushrooms 1 carrot, shredded 1/2 lb. ground beef or substitute vegan ground round 1 8oz. Canned tomatoes or 1 (6oz.) can tomato paste Seasoning 1 1/4 cups Beef bouillon if using canned tomatoes, or 1 1/2 cups if using tomato paste 1 Cup red wine

Instructions Heat the butter and oil in a pan, then gently sauté the crushed garlic, onion, mushrooms and carrots for several minutes. Add the meat and the remaining ingredients, and simmer until the sauce has thickened.
