Ladybug Finger Puppet

July 5, 2020

Do your kids love ladybugs? They are amazing. My daughter loves to go outside and look around the playground to find any of ladybugs. Let’s make your own ladybug finger puppet today.

Supplies:

  • Black cardstock paper

  • Red cardstock paper

  • Googly eyes

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Silver marker

Directions:

Step 1. Cut out all of pieces you will need.

  • one black 4-inch circle (for body)

  • one red 4-inch circle (for wings), cut it in a half

  • one black 2.5-inch circle (for head)

  • 7-8 black 0.5-inch circles (for spots on the wing)

  • one black 3-inch long stripe (for antennae)

Step 2. Cut out two holes at the bottom of the larger 4-inch black circle. These are the holes to make your little ladybug a puppet.

Step 3. Glue the red circle halves onto the larger black circle for the wings and then glue the smaller black circle on top for the ladybug head.

Step 4. Fold black stripe into a V and glue it onto the back of the ladybug head for antennae. Then glue googly eyes and draw a cute smile on your ladybug with your silver marker.

Step 5. Glue the small black circles onto your ladybug wings to make spots.

Now, it is time to play with your own ladybug.
